Paelon Hospital in Nigeria is a multi-specialty hospital in pediatrics, obstetrics, gynecology and geriatrics, and has won the first five-star award for safe care in Africa for its excellent quality of care. As a leading institute and designated COVID-19 treatment center in Nigeria, the hospital has unhesitatingly shouldered the task of prevention, control and treatment since the outbreak of COVID-19. At present, medical workers are facing serious shortage of protective materials.
In order to ensure the orderly supply of medical protective equipment amid the pandemic and protect the health and safety of front-liners, CHINT donated 10,000 masks to the hospital on August 26, 2020. On the same day, Ngozi Onyia, Head of Paelon Hospital, together with some colleagues received the donation from CHINT and extended their gratitude towards CHINT, and addressed the friendship between Chinese and Nigerians has grown stronger during difficult times. Local mainstream media such as This Day, Punch, Business Day etc. also came to the scene to report this act of charity.
CHINT sales manager in Nigeria said that although CHINT employees are currently abroad and also experiencing material shortages, "We would rather save ourselves and deliver the most needed materials to the front line". We stand together through storm and stress with Nigerian people and continuously sending out our love and strength.
